The work argues that the problem of the foundation of human rights is a question that it is not resolved (as Bobbio claimed) and that it must be approached by practical reason, through reasoning and dialogue, as ¿intersubjective support¿ in the search for the objective foundations of coexistence. After critically analyzing various proposals for the foundation of human rights, the work concludes that the idea of human dignity and the theories of needs, taken together, constitute the most appropriate way to base on human rights and their universality |
