	This volume brings together the 39 contributions selected from the foreign currencies presented at the XII Congress of the Spanish Society of Emblematics (Vitoria-Gasteiz, December 2019), under the motto "On the path of Alciatus. Emblematic practice and theory", which have been organised according to two criteria: a first block with those contributions referring directly to the Milanese jurist, humanist initiator of emblematics, and a second in which this connection has an indirect character, through the link with the discipline of emblematics.Este volumen reúne las 39 contribuciones seleccionadas de las divisas presentadas en el XII Congreso de la Sociedad Española de Emblemática (Vitoria-Gasteiz, diciembre de 2019), bajo el lema “En la senda de Alciato. Práctica y teoría emblemática”, que se han organizado siguiendo dos criterios: un primer bloque con aquellas contribuciones referidas directamente al jurista milanés, humanista iniciador de la emblemática, y un segundo en el cual esta conexión tiene un carácter indirecto, a través de la vinculación con la disciplina emblemática.
