| The commercial exploitation or more precisely the total capitalist management of the human body erects this as a universal divinity. The direct consequence of this generalized corporal capitalism is the massive depoliticization of the body and, often, the reflection that is dedicated to it. In this article, we seek to reflect on the current practices of bodily modifications within the framework of the changes in the regimes of neoliberal governance in recent decades.
