El lenguaje de signos Soundpainting es un sistema para la creación en tiempo real basado en la interacción gestual entre un compositor/creador llamado soundpainter y un grupo de intérpretes que responden a los gestos creando material sonoro, visual o de movimiento. El objetivo de esta investigación ha sido analizar y describir cómo se ha aplicado este lenguaje en tres ámbitos educativos diferentes. En el marco teórico se analizan los antecedentes en lo que a creación en tiempo real se refiere para después centrarnos en el estado de la cuestión, revisando la bibliografía en relación a estudios recientes sobre Soundpainting en el aula de música. Partiendo de la metodología cualitativa se seleccionaron un conservatorio, un centro de educación primaria y una escuela de música como estudio de caso colectivo. Así mismo, se seleccionaron tres grupos de alumnos y tres profesores especializados en el uso de Soundpainting en el aula como informantes. Para dar respuesta a las preguntas iniciales de la investigación se analizó el contenido de la observación y de las notas de campo realizadas en sus respectivos centros educativos. Las diferentes sesiones fueron grabadas en video, revisadas y codificadas con diferente software de análisis cualitativo para obtener categorías. Posteriormente se realizó una entrevista semiestructurada a cada uno de los profesores. En uno de los casos se invitó a un grupo de cinco alumnos a expresar sus opiniones en una entrevista grupal abierta, estimulados por el video de la clase que acababan de realizar. Los resultados muestran que aplicando el lenguaje Soundpainting desde la perspectiva del juego y haciendo un uso didáctico de los gestos se facilitó el desarrollo de capacidades musicales y personales en los alumnos de los tres ámbitos educativos observados, tal y como se describe en las conclusiones.

The Soundpainting sign language is a real time creation system based on gestural interaction among the composer/creator called soundpainter and a group of performers, who respond to the gestures by creating sounds, movements or visual elements. The goal of this research has been to analyze and describe how this language is being used in three different educational frameworks. In the theoretical framework an analysis of previous studies of real time creation has been made, in order to focus on the matter itself. In that way, the bibliography has been revised according to recent Soundpainting research in the music classroom. According to qualitative methodology a conservatory, a primary school and a music school were selected as a collective case study. So, three groups of students and three specialised teachers in using Soundpainting were selected in order to inform. In order to respond to the initial research questions, data gathered from observation and field notes collected in the sessions made in each respective school has been analyzed. The different sessions were recorded, revised and codified using different software of qualitative data analysis to obtain different categories. Subsequently each teacher was invited to a semi- structured interview. In one of the case five pupils were invited to express their opinions in an open interview about the session they had just attended, while aided by the video of the class. Results show that applying Soundpainting in a playful way and using gestures as a didactic tool made it easier the development of personal and musical abilities of the students in three different educational environments, as described in the final conclusions.
