This study examined the psychometric properties of a set of questionnaires previously used in the American and British sport context to measure: dispositional goal orientations, beliefs of sport success,satisfaction with sport outcomes, and enjoyment in sport, and the relationship between dispositional goal orientations and the studied variables. 90 boys and 44 girls involved in tennis or track and field participated in the study. Results from the factor analyses showed that the Spanish versions of each questionnaire taped the same constructs of the original instruments. The internal consistency of all scales was acceptable and the relationship between the dispositional goal orientations and the beliefs, satisfaction and enjoyment factors revealed that ego orientation was related with potentially maladaptives motivational patterns. |
