| El presente estudio trata sobre la aparición de la imagen de los Siete Príncipes, analizando la tradición de ésta, observando cómo se desarrolló compositiva e iconográficamente el tipo iconográfico de los Siete Príncipes, y abordando la interpretación de la imagen y culto a estos arcángeles. Para ello retoma las fuentes principales de la angelología y analiza las principales obras de los tratadistas angélicos de los siglos XVII y XVIII.The present study deals with the first appearance of the image of the Seven Princes. Studying the tradition behind this image, I analyze how the iconographic type of the Seven Princes, evolved both from the point of view of composition as well as iconography. I also treat the interpretation of the image and the cult of these archangels. To this end, the study resorts back to the main sources of angelology and analyzes the most important works of angelic tratise writers from the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. | |||
